Rejoice In The LORD!

Be glad in the LORD and rejoice, you righteous ones; And shout for joy, all you who are upright in heart. Psalm 32:11

I rejoice in the LORD, for He is my portion.

During my devotional time with the LORD this morning, I was blessed to listen to a message from John Piper. He was preaching on the subject of Christian Hedonism, and how we should pursue the joy that is only found in God.

Psalm 32:11 gives such a vivid picture of what that joy should look like.

I had a moment yesterday when I wasn't feeling joy. I felt anger over a particular situation that I had no control over. I wanted to take action, to get my "revenge". But the LORD reminded me that He is my KING, and that Vengeance is His, and His alone.

The LORD reminded me that "The joy of the LORD is my strength..."

God is my Mizpah (Strong Tower)
The LORD is a shield all about me
The LORD is Holy
The LORD is Mighty to save
The LORD is Righteous

Throughout the days that pass, I thank God for His word. His word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.

I am grateful for the newfound zeal that my youngest son has for God's word. I was so happy when he brought his bible with him, when I picked him up from his mother's house to take him surfing. He is really getting into it and I thank the LORD for that.

I rejoice unto the LORD, in His High Holy habitation. He is upon the throne. He rules with an Iron Sceptre, and chastises those whom He loves, in the same way that a father chastises a son.

LORD,

I give thanks to YOU Father for the Cross of Christ Jesus. I thank YOU for YOUR HOLY WORD which carries me through many situations. It helps me to know YOU more and more.

LORD, please continue to teach me YOUR ways and thoughts. I need to be humbled, and broken so that YOU can continue to grow inside of me.

Father, please help me to be a better father to my children. Help me to love my wife even when the divorce is finalized. You know that I struggle with that everyday LORD. Please Help me JESUS.

Pray for my father Joe Rubio

I greet you in the name of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST:) May His peace, that exceeds all understanding be with you.

I am asking for your prayers over my father Joe Rubio. I talked to him last night (Tuesday Night) and found out that he has a tumor on his gall bladder. They don’t know for sure if it is malignant or not. The biopsy will be done prior to the removal of the tumor. Other than this particular situation, he is in excellent health.

Please pray specifically for:

1. God’s will to be done.
2. The Healing Power of the Holy Spirit will work through the doctors and nurses there.
3. That this would provide an opportunity for the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be preached through actions and words.
4. That my dad would have a quick recovery.
   

This is an outpatient procedure, so he expects to be home on Thursday evening. I will update all of you when I have more information.

On Mission

19 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,

Jesus said this to His disciples before He ascended into Heaven, to be seated at the right-hand of the throne of God the Father.

A brother in the LORD shared with me one time the following thought - "This is not the 'Great Suggestion' it is the 'Great Commission'"

He was right.

When Jesus spoke these words to His disciples, He was not exclusively addressing them, Jesus was addressing us, His Bride, His Church.

So...

My youngest son Dominic and I will be heading down to Hatteras, North Carolina for the weekend, to help our fellow brothers and sisters in the LORD, construct a skatepark and lifecenter.

What a great way to reach out to the multitudes with the Gospel of Jesus Christ!!!

During the summer, you can see license plates from literally every state in the union and also plates from Canada.

We can see God's guiding hand in this and know that it will reap a harvest. The fields are more than ripe (white) for the harvest. By having this skatepark and lifecenter, it will provide many people of different age groups to come to a place that is safe, non-threatening and hear the word of the LORD being proclaimed through service.

We are instructed to put the lamp on the lampstand. I give thanks to the LORD that I am able to share this mission opportunity with my youngest son. What a blessing unto the LORD.

Prayer,

LORD JESUS, I marvel at Your Cross. You paid my sin debt in full at Calvary. You made me clean, whiter than snow. You forgot my sins as far as the east is from the west. You poured my sins out onto the ocean floor, where they will never be seen or heard from again.

You are my KING. I adore YOU and want to serve YOU JESUS.

Please LORD, I pray that YOU and HOLY SPIRIT will bless that place in Hatteas. Please place Your Hedge of Protection around it. Let not the enemy come into tear down what YOU are building up.

Most of all LORD, I pray that in everything that is said and done this weekend, that YOU BE GLORIFIED!!!
